The Old Forest

The Old Forest is a large forest located past the eastern mountains outside of the valley. The forest was originally found by Rihec, Tobei, Mayvn, and Gelistro De Malavatchi on their search for a Fey Lorekeeper that had been suggested to live in the biggest and oldest tree in a forest by a waterfall.

The forest is considered difficult to traverse, and is quite easy to get lost.

Notable Encounters

A weird deer head

During a day of hunting to replenish some food supplies, Rihec bagged a deer. While walking back with his quarry, he hears a voice talking to him, seemingly coming from the deer itself. A conversation ensues which Rihec does not remember due to losing time coming back from the hunt. The deer is cut apart for food while the head remains. During the night, Tobei notices that the head is facing towards Rihec. Thinking that his companion did this on purpose, he turns the very creepy head away. Later, Rihec notices the head turned his way once again.

Worgs

While hunting away from the group, Felichine De Malavatchi encounters a pack of worgs that manage to wound and surround Gelistro's companion. The bond they share alerts Gelistro that Felichine is in danger, and the rest of the party follows when Gelistro runs. A fight ensues. The party takes out two worgs. In the midst of the fighting, with Felichine, Gelistro and Flintskip in a almost dire situation, a giant owl with a 30 foot wingspan descends into the canopy of the forest, scaring off the remaining worgs. Mayvn talks to the giant owl.
